The Beach Volleyball Tour Championship in Capo d'Orlando Capo d'Orlando is one of the 17 stages of the World Beach Volleyball Championship sponsored by WVBF (World Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Federation). From July 15 to 17 the beach in front of Piazza Caracciolo Beach Volleyball Championship Tour will host the 2011 tournament dedicated exclusively to the professionals of this discipline from all over the world. This is the most important beach volleyball championship which started on January 28 from Durban (South Africa), will conclude on November 24 in Abu Dhabi (UAE). Capo d'Orlando to be the first of three stages of the Italian tour (Diamante and Lignano Sabbiadoro, others), placed on the calendar, after the commitment of Stockholm (Sweden). For this event there will be an heavy managing machine. Over 100 people, including: managers, players and personnel who will be present for about a week in Capo d'Orlando. The competition ground will be arranged on the sand in front of the town, the stands will be mounted on the perimeter of the playground, they can accommodate more than 3000 spectators. "We emphasize once again the combination of sport-tourism to promote the image of Capo d'Orlando. Once again - said the Mayor Enzo Sindoni - as is tradition, we have tried their best, to launch next summer. In fact, the world championship beach volleyball, as well as to propose the best specialists of this discipline, we will ensure a major return of image. The organization is based in Switzerland, has already informed us of the presence of television and national newspapers and the possibility that the final proposal is directed by a satellite broadcaster. There will be three days of great entertainment, since, in addition to the matches to be held in the afternoon, a real village will be installed next to the competition ground. A Capo d’Orlando il Beach Volley Championship Tour Capo d’Orlando sarà una delle 17 tappe del campionato mondiale di beach volley promosso dal WVBF (World Volley & Beach Volleyball Federation). Dal 15 al 17 luglio la spiaggia antistante piazza Caracciolo ospiterà il Beach Volley Championship Tour 2011, torneo dedicato esclusivamente ai professionisti di questa disciplina provenienti da tutto il mondo. Si tratta del più importante campionato di beach volley che partito il 28 gennaio da Durban (Sud Africa), si concluderà il 24 novembre ad Abu Dhabi (Emirati Arabi). Quella di Capo d’Orlando sarà la prima delle tre tappe italiane del tour (Diamante e Lignano Sabbiadoro, le altre), inserita in calendario, subito dopo l’impegno di Stoccolma (Svezia). Per questo appuntamento è prevista una imponente macchina organizzativa. Oltre 100 le persone tra: dirigenti, giocatori e personale specializzato, che per circa una settimana saranno presenti a Capo d’Orlando. Il campo di gara sarà ricavato sull’arenile davanti al centro abitato, sul suo perimetro verranno montate delle tribune in grado di accogliere oltre 3.000 spettatori. "Puntiamo ancora una volta sul binomio sport-turismo per promuovere l’immagine di Capo d’Orlando. Ancora una volta – ha affermato il Sindaco Enzo Sindoni – com’è tradizione abbiamo cercato il massimo, per lanciare la prossima stagione estiva. Infatti, il campionato del mondo di beach volley, oltre a proporci i migliori specialisti di questa disciplina, ci garantirà un importante ritorno di immagine. L’organizzazione che ha sede in Svizzera, ci ha già informato, della presenza di televisioni e giornali nazionali e della possibilità che la finale sia proposta in diretta da una emittente satellitare. Saranno tre giorni di grande spettacolo, anche perché, oltre alle gare che si svolgeranno nel pomeriggio, nella immediate adiacenze del campo di gara sarà installato un vero e proprio villaggio. Gli sponsor del Beach Volley Championship Tour, garantiranno animazione e la distribuzione di gadget a tutti gli spettatori. A Capo d’Orlando l’estate è già cominciata".
